Arrangements for Shab-e-Qadar, Jumat-ul-Vida Eid-ul-Fitr reviewed at Shopian, Pulwama

          SRINAGAR, JUNE 20:  Arrangements for upcoming auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadar, Juma-tul-vida and Eid-ul-fitr were reviewed in Shopian and Pulwama.

          In Shopian, the District Development Commissioner reviewed the arrangements being put in place by the district for the holy occasions.  

          The DD directed the concerned to ensure adequate facilities at all religious places, including mosques, shrines and Eidgah for the devotees. He also asked the concerned departments to properly regulate supply of food grains, power and drinking water during the eve of Shab-e-qadar, Juma-tul-vida and Eid-ul-fitr.

         A similar meeting was chaired by District Development Commissioner Pulwama to review the arrangements. The DDC directed for making available essential commodities including rice, atta, sugar and kerosene, transport arrangements, cleanliness in and around Masjids, streets and Eidgahs, ambulance services, uninterrupted power and water supply and repairs and renovation of roads.

          Both the DDCs also called for intensifying market checking to keep a check on profiteering, hoarding and black marketing.
