SRINAGAR, JUNE 06: To review the progress of various ongoing projects in Sangrama
Constituency, Minister for Horticulture, Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari today
convened a meeting with officials of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
Seeking details regarding the progress work of various ongoing
works at Pachhar to Masjid Angan, Bud Bugh-Takiya Yousuf Shah, Thindma-Alwpora,
Kohlina-Rangwar, kakuathal-Brannar and Sheikhpora- Tangmarg roads, the Minister
was informed that work is going as per schedule and will be completed on time.
He was also informed regarding various issues including
non-availability of revenue records and need for shifting of Public Health
Engineering (PHE) pipelines affecting work process. The Minister assured that
the matter would be taken up at the concerned quarters so that the ongoing
projects under PMGSY would be completed in a time bound manner.
Basharat Bukhari impressed upon the officers to expedite the
ongoing projects under PMGSY and called for better synergy between the
concerned departments to ensure bottlenecks in execution of projects in
stipulated time frame.
Bukhari said that he will monitor the pace work as the
government is according top priority to enhancing road connectivity in the
state with special focus on rural areas.
The Minster stressed upon the functionaries of PMGSY to work
with utmost zeal, dedication and close coordination for timely completion of
the works.
The Minister directed the concerned for judicious use of funds
and urged them not to compromise on quality of work and asked the officers to
conduct frequent field visits and redress the issues and grievances of the
people on priority.
Executive Engineer PMGSY, A R Lone, Engineers and officials of
concerned Departments were present in the meeting.
