SRINAGAR, JUNE 24: A deputation of Batamaloo Traders Association
led by President, Reyaz-ul-Islam Beigh today called on the Divisional
Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan and apprised him of the grievances
being faced by the traders.
The
issues which were brought to the notice of Divisional Commissioner
included, construction of public Toilets at certain locations, installation of
street lights & CCTV Cameras, up-gradation of damaged drainage system,
especially at Baranpathar Batamaloo, removal of street vendors, earmarking a
parking slot for shopkeepers, shifting of Sumo and Auto stand and improvement
of road conditions of Sheikh Dawood Colony-Firdousabad.
The Divisional Commissioner issued on-the-spot instructions to DIG to install
CCTV Cameras at vintage points from PCR to Bus Adda within 15 days.
Similarly, he directed the PDD authorities to install the LED Lights in the
Batmaloo in consultation with members of the association.
He also directed SE, SMC
to start the work for construction of Cement concrete sub main drain
Baranpathar Batamaloo and around SAIFCO plaza.
He also directed the R&B engineers to take necessary steps for
macadamization of Sheikh Dawood Colony-Firdousabad.
The
Divisional Commissioner assured the deputationists to examine all other issues
on priority for their appropriate disposal.
Additional
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Joint
Commissioner SMC, Executive Engineers of R&B & PDD, Superintending
Engineer (SE) Drainage Circle SMC, Deputy Director Planning, Members of
Batamaloo Traders Association and other concerned officials were present at
this meeting.
