BUDGAM, JUNE 9: The District
Development Commissioner Budgam today convened a meeting to take stock of
preparedness for Intensified Diarrhea Control (IDC) Fortnight which is being
observed from June 12 to 24, 2017 and is being organized by District
Health Society Budgam.
Among others, the meeting was attended by CMO Budgam, ICDS
authorities and various officials from Health Department, Education and
Municipal authorities.
In the day
long training cum workshop, the participants were briefed about various aspects
of diarrhea.
Speaking on the occasion, The DDC urged that the camp should be
launched on war footing and directed RDD authorities, Panchayat Officials and
PHE authorities to galvanize their grass root workers for this camp and work in
Tandem with ASHAs for door to door campaign and directed SAVE WATER campaign
and open defecation free campaign and Swacch Bharat Mission be also made part
of this camp.
The DDC directed the Municipal Authorities to ensure launch of special
sanitation and cleanliness drives in wake of festive season.
