PULWAMA, JUNE 16: The District Development Commissioner Pulwama, G M Dar today convened an officers meeting to take a comprehensive stock of educational scenario and functional of various educational institutions in the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue,
Principals of Degree Colleges, Chief Education Officer Pulwama, Zonal Education
Officer and Headmasters of High Schools of the district and other concerned
attended the meeting.
The DDC emphasized on the need of imparting better quality education to
the students. He termed the students as future of the district and the State and added
that teachers should focus on overall personality development of students so
that they can excel in every field.
He directed for integrating common people with education-related
activities by organizing fruitful community mobilizing programmes. He directed
the Principals and Headmasters to check the attendance of students regularly
and maintaining conducive academic atmosphere at the educational institutes.
The DDC also announced the release of Rs. 1 lakh for construction of
boundary wall for Government Higher Secondary School, Newa.
