UDHAMPUR JUNE 28: Deputy District Election Officer, Sapna Kotwal today held a meeting with all the EROs, AEROs and various nodal officers of the district to discuss the implementation of special drive to enroll the left out electors especially in the age group of 18-21 at Conference Hall, DC Complex.
During the meeting, it was informed that the special drive for enrolling the left out electors would begin from July 01 to July 31 2017 and the preparatory work would include analysis of the data of format 1 to 8 in order to find out major gaps in terms of E/P ratio of 18-19 year age groups.
Submission of form-6 at ERO's office , sending of forms by post and online submission at NVSP would be done before July 31, 2017. It was further informed that special camps would be held on 9th July and 23 July 2017.
During the meeting, the Deputy DEO asked the EROs to ensure that all the enrolment forms are disposed off within the stipulated time period.
Besides the EROs and AEROs were directed to constitute a Complaint redressal cell at their levels. All the EROs and AEROs were also asked to organize training for BLOs at Tehsil level before July 01, 2017.
In addition to this, the Deputy DEO directed them to send proposal for the creation of new or Auxiliary Polling stations in areas where the Electors have to travel more than 2 km to cast their votes and where their number exceeds 1200 within a week's time
