SAMBA, JUNE 22: Minister for Industries and
Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, today inaugurated a Small Scale Industrial
(SSI) undertaking under MSME.
Member of Parliament, Shamsheer Singh Manhas, Deputy CEO KVIB, Santosh
Saraf, District Officer KVIB, Paramjeet Singh among others were present on the
occasion.
The Minister, while addressing the gathering on the occasion, said that
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the
industrial sector of the state. Hence, the government has introduced various
schemes and aids to ensure the MSME lead a struggle free existence in the
country, and also contribute, to the economy, he added.
Ganga appealed the youth to come forward in large numbers to derive
benefits from the government interventions for establishing commercial
manufacturing and service enterprises not only as an avenue of self employment
but also as a tool of providing employment opportunities to others.
M/S Parshotam Ice Works with proprietor Babu Ram located at National
Highway near 17 Miles is a success story under Prime Minister’s
Employment Generation Programme and is expected to provide livelihood
opportunities to local youth.
