SRINAGAR, JUNE 9: All India Council for
Technical Education in collaboration with Technical Education Department and
Amar Singh College, Srinagar organized an awareness workshop regarding the
Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for Polytechnic Diploma
Holder pass outs for Admission under Lateral Entry Mode at Amar Singh College,
here.
The aim of the workshop was to acquaint the desirous students, parents
and other stakeholders about the scheme. The workshop was attended by around
400 aspirants.
The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Amar Singh College, Prof.
Muhammad Aslam Baba. He briefed the participants about the importance and
benefits of the scheme.
On the occasion, Deputy Director AICTE, New Delhi, Anand Sharma
enlightened participants about the scheme and discussed various issues
regarding the PMSSS for Polytechnic Diploma Holders.
The participants raised various quires regarding allotment of colleges
and other issues which were answered by resource persons.
Director Technical Education, Srinagar, Ms. Shabnam Shah Kamili, in her
concluding remarks highlighted the importance of conducting awareness workshops
for the aspirants.
Besides others, Dy. Director Technical Education, Srinagar and
Principals of Polytechnic Colleges of Kashmir Division were present during the
workshop.
