JAMMU, JUNE 01:Vice-Chairman, State Advisory
Board for Welfare and Development of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs),
Rashpaul Verma laid foundation stone of 100 bedded hostel for OBC students at
village Ghaink in Bhalwal.
The hostel would be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 311.75 lakh
on land measuring 12 kanals and 10 marlas.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-chairman said, “This hostel
facility will prove to be an asset for the students who come to Bhalwal for
pursuing higher education from the far flung and inaccessible areas”.
He asked the executing agencies to complete the construction work within
stipulated time frame while ensuring the quality of work.
Secretary OBC Board, Assistant Executive Engineer PWD, besides other
prominent citizens including Omi Khajuria, Shashi Pal, Murari Lal, Vikram,
Rattan Chand and Suresh Kumar were present on the occasion.
