SRINAGAR, JULY 5: A three-day consultative
module design conference of Master Trainers of Jammu and Kashmir concluded at
the Directorate of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) at Srinagar.
The conference was attended by 45 Master Trainers in which Secretary
School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah was the chief guest at the valedictory
function.
The conference was aimed to upgrade the training module for the training
of over 90000 teachers of the State for 2017-18. State Project Director SSA
Saugat Biswas, briefed the Secretary Education about the massive training
programme organized for in-service teachers of the State during 2016-17.
The State had planned the training programme in cascade mode and
organized the training in collaboration with Simple Education Foundation, New
Delhi with advice from NCERT, Jammu University and Colleges of Education, SIEs
of the State. The training programme was rolled out at the Zonal/Bi-zonal level
and concluded as per planned schedule.
In his address, Farooq Shah emphasized the need and importance of the
refresher trainings for Middle and Primary school teachers. The quality of
education imparted to the students of the government schools can be raised only
when the teachers will be capacity enabled and given enough motivation and
support for teaching in the schools with innovative methods, he added.
He urged the Master Trainers to remain focused on the trainings of the
teachers and monitor that the trainings show results at the classroom level. He
appreciated the efforts put in by the Master Trainers, Resource Persons who
worked with high dedication and completed the refresher trainings in 2016-17.
Later, he distributed certificates of appreciation to all the Master
Trainers as recognition of their accomplishment.
