SRINAGAR, JULY 17: The Government today accorded sanction to 50 percent
reduction in fee for Nursing and Architecture courses in Nursing Colleges at
Srinagar and Jammu with additional 50 percent rebate for BPL category students.
According to an order issued by the Commissioner Secretary Higher
Education, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, the annual fee for BSc Nursing course has
been reduced from Rs 65000 to Rs 32500 and from Rs 65000 to Rs 15000 for BPL
category students.
Whereas, he said that for BSc Architecture course, the annual fee has
been reduced from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 50000 and for students of BPL category it
will be Rs 25000 only.
Further, it was said that 10 percent seats shall be filled up on
nomination basis by Higher Education Department.
