SHOPIAN, JULY 25: To review
the ongoing execution of ongoing works on the Northern Region Strengthening
Scheme (NRSS) project, District Development Commissioner Shopian along with a
team of officers made an extensive tour to the various sites along Mughal Road
and took stock of the works being executed in the area.
During his visit to the Mughal Road-Peer Ki Gali, DDC inspected
different towers erected in the area and directed the concerned officers not to
violate the labour laws and keep in mind the welfare of labours.
He also instructed the labours to wear all the safety measures while
doing work to prevent any unnecessary accident. He also took the issues of
NRSS-XXIX with wildlife department pertaining to the execution of the project.
DDC said this project is of national importance and has immense impact on the
state of J&K and its economy.
The DDC gave directions to the executing agencies to speed up the pace
of work and work in coordination with different departments so that this
project and get completed well in time.
