Priya Sethi reviews arrangements for inauguration of Polytechnic Colleges

JAMMU, JULY 07: The Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Horticulture & Floriculture, Culture and Tourism today chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the inauguration of Government Polytechnic Colleges at Reasi, Samba and Kathua and foundation laying ceremony for Government Polytechnic Colleges at Doda, Kishtwar and Udhampur.

The Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will be inaugurating the Government Polytechnic College in Reasi with symbolic inaugurations of Polytechnic Colleges at Samba and Kathua along with foundation laying ceremony at Doda, Kishtwar and Udhampur through digital medium.

Divisional Commissioner Jammu, M.K Bhandari, District Development Commissioner Kathua, Ramesh Kumar, ADDC Jammu, Anuradha Gupta, ADC Kishtwar, Kishori Lal Sharma and Principals of Polytechnic Colleges were present in the meeting.

DDC Udhampur, Neeraj Kumar, DDC Reasi Ravinder Kumar, DDC Kishtwar, G N Balwan , ADDC Samba, Vivek Sharma and ADC Doda, Mohd Hanief Malik also participated in the meeting through video conferencing.

While finalizing the arrangements for inauguration and foundation ceremonies for Government Polytechnic Colleges in six districts on July 10 2017, Priya Sethi ordered a mock drill to be conducted beforehand to ensure smooth conduct of the events.

The Minister also directed the concerned to keep handy Internet connectivity from three service providers along with spare LED screens as backup to be used in case of exigencies.

 She also discussed and finalized sequence of events to be followed on the day of inauguration which is to be circulated among the Principals of Polytechnic Colleges and other officers for ensuring effective coordination during the events.

The meeting was apprised of the status of infrastructures at these colleges and the arrangements being put in place for organizing the events in a smooth manner.
