Awareness Programme on SVEEP held

DODA, JULY 05:- District Election Officer Doda in collaboration with Nodal officer SVEEP organised an electoral awareness programme at Girls HSS Doda today.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda, Tariq Hussain Naik was chief guest on the occasion. District Education Planning Officer Abdul Latief, Assistant Director Employment  (Nodal Officer) SVEEP Muneeb Umar, Principal GHSS Doda alongwith staff, officials of election staff Doda and large number of students participated in the special camp.

Speaking on the occasion Tariq Naik reiterated that  a special drive to enrol left out electors is going on in the district which will  focus on the young citizen  specially in the age group of 18-21 years w.e.t 01-01-2017 as qualifying date. He said that the process of electoral purification has started and shall continue till 31st of this month and people who are desirous of any change in electoral rolls can approach concerned BLOs.

Various speakers including school children and staff threw light on the topic and a message was passed encouraging people to participate in the process to make the drive successful. Moreover form No. 6 was also distributed among the students.
