Chairman urges members to maintain dignity of upper house

           SRINAGAR, JULY 05: Taking serious note of the unruly behavior of some Members in the House, Chairman J&K Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali today appealed the Members to maintain the dignity and decorum of the upper house.

            He said the members should maintain discipline in the house and respect each other’s ideas and sentiments. He said the real essence of democracy is that the opposite ideas are respected and argued respectfully adding that members must show respect to each other, maintain high standards of democracy, discuss the public issues in most decent way and try to become role models for the society.

           GN Monga also expressed regret over the events that unfolded on the first day of the session. He said the members should respect each other’s view.
