DC Budgam for special drive against illegal brick kilns

        BUDGAM, JULY 06: The Deputy Commissioner Budgam today reiterated that special drive for closure of illegal and unauthorized brick kilns running in many areas across would continue here.         

While giving details about the decision taken in the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said a special team has been constituted to identify the areas where such brick kilns are presently in operation.   

Further, it was also decided that all SDM’s/Tehsildar’s will conduct a fresh survey regarding illegal brick kilns and accordingly will submit the report

          The Chief Horticulture Officer/Chief Agriculture Officer was also directed to start a special campaign and conduct awareness programmes regarding preservation of soil. He stressed that the focus of the campaign shall be based in the areas where brick kilns are mostly located.
