GANDERBAL, JULY 03:- Deputy Commissioner
Ganderbal convened a meeting to take review of ongoing special drive for
enrollment of left out voters in the age group of 18-21years.
A month long special
enrollment drive has been started in district Ganderbal from July 1, 2017 to
enroll left out voters and the focus has to be on the enrolment of first time
eligible electors and young citizens in the age group of 18-21 years. The drive
will continue till July
31, 2017 under
Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) as per
guidelines of Election Commission of India.
Speaking on the occasion
DEO said that for the period of special enrollment drive, the Booth Level
Officers (BLOs) shall visit door to door for registration of newly eligible
voters in the age group of 18-21. During this process purification of electoral
rolls will also be conducted and voters who are already registered can apply
for addition, deletion, correction or transposition of their data.
As
per the directions of ECI, on 8th
July and 22nd July 2017 special
camps will be held where the BLOs along with BLAs will remain stationed at
their respective polling booths and people can come for the purification of
their electoral rolls.

Ganderbal, ACR Ganderbal, Deputy Election Officer, Nodal Officer SVEEP, SDM,
Tehsildars, and BLO’s and
other concerned officer attended the meeting.
