SRINAGAR, JULY 03: Divisional Commissioner
Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today conducted an extensive tour of Srinagar city
and reviewed the progress of various ongoing developmental works undertaken by
different government agencies.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, DIG Police, Director Education, Commissioner SMC,
General Manager JK Housing Board, Engineers, R&B & PDD, ARTO, Officers,
Revenue, Health, Police and other concerned officers accompanied the Divisional
Commissioner.
The Divisional
Commissioner inspected macadamization works at different spots in the city.
Baseer Khan also
reviewed new Harwan Bridge, which is completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.68
crore along diversion road. He also inspected Chandipora Bridge.
The Div Com visited Mini
Maternity Centre cum Hospital which is getting constructed at an estimated cost
of Rs. 12.83 crore. Baseer Khan was informed that the completion date of the
hospital is April 2018. The Div Com praised JK Housing Board and directed the
officers to ensure judicious use of funds, besides expediting pace work of the
hospital construction for its timely completion.
Reviewing the
construction work of additional blocks of JLNM Hospital Rainawari, the Div Com
directed the engineers to complete the wok within the fixed deadline so that
the public gets benefited. The blocks are getting constructed at an estimated
cost of Rs. 14.18 crore.
Div com visited
Community Halls at Radapora, Khanyar and Jamia Masjid, Nowhatta where he was
informed that the works would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.95
crore and Rs. 1.87 crore respectively by R&B Department. He directed the
engineers to speed up the pace of construction work so that these centers will be open for the
public soon.
Khan visited Nawa Kadal
Degree College and inspected the site
of Academic cum Science Block. The new block would be constructed at an estimated cost of
Rs. 5.84 crore. He directed the JK Housing board to start the development work
in the college.
Div
Com inspected the Mechanical Segregator for Municipal solid waste at Achen
dumping site, which was commissioned today at a cost of Rs 1.75 crores. He
praised SMC for this achievement.
Khan
also visited the site for New Drug De-Addiction centre at Dr. Ali Jan Road and
directed the officials to start the work immediately.
Div
Com inspected Parimpora new Bus stand and directed the officials to shift all
utilities within
three weeks of
time.
Later
Khan visited Teacher Bhavan at Bemina which is getting constructed at a cost of
Rs. 7.51 crores by JK Housing Board. He directed the engineers to complete the
remaining work immediately so that it will be handed over to the DSEK.
