strategy —identifying state land and immediately handing over it to the NHAI,
identifying the proprietary land for compulsory acquisition, and a joint survey
to address concerns of locals for smooth land acquisition.
He also directed the DCs to expedite the Land acquisition process so that the
physical work on the project is started at an earliest. He further directed
NHAI authorities to deposit the required funds to the concerned DCs for payment
of land compensation to the owners.
On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the officers of NHAI
to work with added zeal and in synergy with the concerned Deputy Commissioners
so that the bottlenecks, if any, in this project are removed and
also speed up the work without any further delay.
Khan also emphasized the need for expediting work on the project and urged the
officers to ensure that concerned departments carry out works within the
stipulated time frame.
