SRINAGAR, JULY 12- Minister of
State for Housing & Urban Development, Social Welfare, Health & Medical
Education, Asiea Naqash conducted a surprise visit to check the
quality of macadam used on the stretch from Aahil to Danihama in Hazratbal
Constituency here.
The Minister was accompanied by AEE
and Executive Engineer R&B along with other officials. She personally inspected the work
and directed the officials to ensure quality macadamization for
construction of roads in the state and emphasized on expediting the road
upgradation programme for public convenience.
Enroute Ms Naqash interacted with
locals who apprised the minister about various issues. She also sought
suggestions from the people regarding various developmental projects in the
area.
The Minister assured people that
within next month the road in Tailbal, Burzuhama, Shupri Bagh and Redi Mohalla
areas of Hazratbal would also get macadamised.
The officials assured the Minister
that the men and machinery have already been mobilized for the purpose.
The Engineers also apprised the
Minister that they are implementing the directions in letter and spirit and the
road would get black topped in just one month’s time.
On the occasion, Ms Naqash was also
informed that there is requirement of two machines on the road to complete it
in a stipulated period.
She asked the officers that it is
their official responsibility to provide connectivity to all the areas
lacking road communication.
