SAMBA, JULY 24: A meeting to discuss arrangements for Independence Day celebrations was convened under the Chairmanship of DDC , Sheetal Nanda here today.
It was informed
that Independence Day celebrations shall be held at Arazi Stadium, Samba where
various marching contingents drawn from police, Army, NCC, Ex-Serviceman, and
School Students shall participate and also cultural programme based on
patriotic theme will be presented.
ADC Samba Tilak Raj Sharma has been designated as the Nodal Officer for
coordinating the arrangements.
DDC discussed in detail the arrangements related to barricading, seating,
sanitation, security & traffic, power, water, fire tenders etc. She also
directed the committees concerned to make necessary and befitting arrangements
for the event.
DDC directed municipal committee
Samba to maintain sanitation at the venue and in the town during the
celebrations. She also directed CEO Samba to submit the list of
students who have excelled in academics so that they could be felicitated
during the function.
Among others present in the meeting were Addl SP Samba Raja Adil Hamid,
, ACD ,ACR , SDM’s and heads of various govt. departments of Samba.
