NSS induction-cum-orientation programme held in Islamia College

         SRINAGAR, JULY 03: The NSS units of Islamia College of Science and Commerce organized a one day Induction–cum-Orientation Programme for the students of the College.

          The Principal in his inaugural address explained how NSS helps the students community to understand the fabric of the society in which we live. He said that it enlightens the students to identify the needs and problems of the community and develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters.

          NSS officer Unit-II apprised the students about the NSS activities. She stressed on the fact that such induction programmes reinstate the belief that welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society on the whole and therefore, the duty of NSS volunteers is to strive for the well being of the society.
