Chennai, July 18 (UNI) The Apollo Hospitals today said it was ready to face an inquiry commission, if constituted, on the treatment given to former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who died on December five last year after 75 days of hospitalisation. Responding to questions from media on the sidelines of a function here, Hospital Chairman Dr Prathap C Reddy said there was no interference in the treatment given to her and that she was treated with utmost care. Stating that Ms Jayalalithaa was given world class treatment, he said she was recovering well, before she unfortunately suffered a massive cardiac arrest, resulting in her death. The entire team of doctors, who treated her, including foreign experts, gave her the best treatment. ''But the infection she suffered was so severe, that she suffered a massive cardiac arrest and died'', Dr Reddy added. Asserting that he was ready to face any inquiry commission, if formed, to go into the reasons behind Ms Jayalalithaa's death, he said ''we have all the datas and reports on the treatment given to her''. ''We are prepared to face any inquiry commission'', he said. It may be recalled that the rebel AIADMK faction led by former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam had been demanding a judicial probe into her 'mysterious' death of the late leader after doubts were raised about the treatment given to her. Following this, the team of doctors, including Dr Richard Beale, an expert from London, also addressed a press conference to clarify on the treatment given to her. A plea seeking a probe into her 'mysterious' death was also pending before a court. UNI
