Shutdown in parts of south Kashmir after SF raid on militant's house

Srinagar, Jul 27 : Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in Kulgam district to protest against alleged security forces raided the residence of an active militant and thrashed inmates and damaged electronic and other goods early this morning. Shops downed shutters and traffic was off the roads in Quimoh and Khudwarni and adjoining areas. Work in government offices and banks was also affected and educational institutions remained closed in both the places. People alleged security forces burst teargas shells and entered the house of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) active militant Tawseef Ahmad Sheikh early this morning. They beat up inmates besides damaging other property. UNI
