Srinagar, Jul 25 : Jammu and Kashmir Voluntary Health Association (JKVHA) today hailed the decision of the state government to put a complete ban on the sale, manufacture, distribution, trade, import and advertisement of e-cigarettes in the state. "The decision will go a long way to discourage the consumption of tobacco products particularly amongst the youngsters,” JKVHA Executive Director A M Mir said. The government has yesterday issued directions to ban sale and production of e-cigarettes in the state, which has become the fifth state in the country to impose such curb. Meanwhile, JKVHA Executive Director New Delhi Bhavna Mukhopadhyay also conveyed her appreciation to the state government for banning e-cigarettes. Agencies
