Three militants reportedly killed in south Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Jul 15 : Three militants were reportedly killed in an encounter with security forces in the woods in the south Kashmir district of Pulwama today, official sources said. A massive search operation has been launched in another area in the district since early this morning, they said. They said security forces and state police launched a joint search operation in the woods at Dantiwan Satoor forest in Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama. When the forest area was being sealed, militants hiding there opened fire, they said, adding that security forces also retaliated ensuing a fierce encounter. It is reported that three militants were killed, they said, adding that the bodies of militants have not yet been recovered. Another operation against militants has been launched at Aripal, Tral. However, details are awaited.
