2 feared dead, several trapped in Mumbai building collapse

Mumbai, Aug 31 :  At least two people were feared dead and several others trapped when a five-storeyed building collapsed near J J Junction in South Mumbai's Dongri area today. The 50-year-old building, in which 10 -12 families used to reside, was in a dilapidated condition. Nearby buildings have been evacuated as a precautionary measure. Rescue and relief operations have been launched. The incident occurred at Bhend bazar at 0830 hrs. As many as 12 fire brigades have been rushed to the spot. Police and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation were also assisting in the rescue operation. UNI
