3 die, as many washed away in flash floods

Thane, Aug 30: At least three people died and an equal number were washed away in flash floods in Palghar and Thane district. Four people, including a three-year-old girl, were washed away in flash floods in neighbouring Palghar district yesterday, police said. Of the four people, only the body of a three-year-old girl was found while other three were swept away in Virar and Vasai and their bodies were yet to be recovered. Yesterday, two people, including a 14-year-old girl, died in flash floods in Thane city. Thane city received 340 mm rains throughout the day yesterday, reports said. UNI
