‘Inaugurates-Tehsil-Office-Laar’
GANDERBAL,
AUGUST 9: Reaffirming commitment of
Government for overall development at grass root level, Minister for Revenue,
Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Abdul Rehman Veeri today inaugurated
Tehsil Office complex Laar here.
Speaking on
the occasion, Minister said that Government is committed to usher a new dawn of
development in the state.
MLA
Ganderbal Ishfaq Jabbar, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal
Piyush Singla, SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmed Lone and Superintending Engineer
R&B Ganderbal and other officers of the Revenue Department were present at
the inauguration ceremony.
The complex
constructed at a cost of Rs 1.29 crore will house Record room, Tehsildars Room,
Naib Tehsildar’s room, Strong room, Meeting Hall
While
addressing a gathering at the venue, He said that infrastructure creation is
one of the major components for giving boost to development in the State.
The Minister
directed revenue officials to follow the norms under Public Service Guarantee
Act (PSGA) in issuance of certificates and documents including Reserve Category
Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Income Certificate, Fard Intikhab, Extract
of Girdawari, Extract of Massavi, Extract of Jamabandi, Attestation of
Mutation, Marriage certificate and other documents.
The Minister
asked district administration to enhance public par taking by setting up
various citizen councils for revamping public services delivery system.
On the
digitization of land records, Mr Veeri said that the process is going in full
swing in Jammu and Srinagar district and would be started in other areas as
well in phased manner.
He said it
is imperative that revenue officials work with responsibility to live up to the
expectations of common people.
Mr Veeri
impressed on Revenue officials to facilitate the process effectively while
Deputy Commissioners and SDMs should take periodical review of land mutation
process in their respective areas to avoid unnecessary pendency of cases at any
level.
The Minister
also said that Government is working on the augmentation of the infrastructure
so that public, instead of running to different offices, can get issues
redressed under one roof.
