MLA Baramulla distributes cheques worth 29 lacs among beneficiaries
BARAMULLA, AUGUST 22: As part of nationwide sanitation programme “Swachh Bharat Mission”, an awareness programme was today organized at Government Girls High School Heewan Baramulla in which a gathering of people and students participated. MLA Baramulla Javeed Hassan Beig was the chief guest in the programme, which was organized by Block Development Officer.
The camp aimed at educating people about the hazards of open defecation system during which emphasis was laid on awareness dissemination regarding the scheme. The gathering was informed that about 3000 toilets will be constructed by the end of 2017.
On the occasion, the MLA distributed cheques worth Rs 29 lakh among 241 beneficiaries under Open defecation free (ODF) programme.
On the occasion, the MLA asked the public to avail these schemes honestly and successfully. He stressed upon the public to take maximum benefit of the schemes. The MLA appreciated these people friendly schemes and programmes and stressed for their effective implementation.
