JAMMU, AUGUST 05: The two day training program organized for retainer
lawyers of three districts of Jammu, Samba and Kathua concluded here today at
ADR Centre.
The training programme was held under the patronage of J&K Chief
Justice, Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed (Patron-in-Chief) and under the
guidance of Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority, Justice
Mohammad Yaqoob Mir.
The Training Session was inaugurated by Vinod Chatterji Koul, Chairman
DLSA (Pr District & Sessions Judge Jammu). Jyoti Sharma was the
master trainer of the training course.
Extensive training sessions were conducted by Master Trainer on the topics
covering Labour Laws, rights of persons with disability, protection of women
from domestic violence Act, Rights of Prisoners and Legal services, harassment
of women from sexual offences at workplaces and various schemes under ADR.
The participating trainee retainer layers were given training on their
role and duties for imparting free legal aid. Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Chairman,
Tehsil Legal Services Committee (Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jammu supervised
the programme which was convened by Swati Gupta, Secretary District Legal
Services Authority (Sub-Registrar) Jammu.
