Chennai, Aug 3: The Madurai Bench of Madras High Court today ordered notice to four Tamil Nadu Ministers for meeting jailed AIADMK Amma leader V K Sasikala, and also to Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami for not taking action against them for violating the oath of office by meeting a corrupt person in jail. When the petition filed by Aanazhagan, son of former AIADMK MLA Thamaraikani, came up for hearing Mr Justices K K Sasidharan and G R Swaminathan ordered notices to Ministers K A Sengottaiyan, Dindigul C Sreenivasan, R Kamaraj and Sellur K Raju for meeting Sasikala in prison and holding discussions with her. The Court also ordered notices to the Chief Minister and Legislative Assembly Secretary and adjourned the matter. The petitioner contended that the four Ministers had violated the oath of office and secrecy by meeting Sasikala, who was convicted and jailed in a corruption case and said they should be disqualified. He also contended that since the Chief Minister had remained silent and failed take action against them, he should also be disqualified. UNI
