Aug 29: Mumbai is currently experiencing the worst and longest rain since
July 26, 2005 and if it continues till high tide, the India's commercial
capital could be in for another horror of flooding, traffic jams and long hours
on the roads.
Actor Deepika Padukone, who was having a Q&A session with her fans this
afternoon showed concerned for Mumbaikars and asked them to stay safe.
She took to Twitter and sent out a concerned message saying, "While I do this,alerts showing up on my phone about the rains in Mumbai.
Please stay safe and take care everyone.
" As per the regional meteorological centre, the city will experience intermittent rains with heavy to very heavy rainfall in few places in the city and suburbs over the next 24 hours.
Images shared on social media showed cars crawling in a sea of brown water and residents struggling to cross roads fearing potholes and uncovered drains. UNI
