Agartala,
Aug 29: With its continuing concern for corporate social responsibility
(CSR), state owned exploration giant ONGC extended its support to the villagers
of Kunjaban in Agartala who were badly affected by the unprecedented rainfalls
that ravaged Agartala two weeks ago. ONGC has distributed blankets, mattresses,
pillows and cereals among 50 affected families of the village. The overjoyed
villagers were full of appreciation for ONGC’s efforts and said that this was a
much awaited relief. The camp was conducted with the coordination of a renowned
NGO- Bharat Sevashram Sangh. Some of the food grains that were in excess were
distributed to another adjoining village. The ONGC with its outlook of
inclusive growth and development constantly organises CSR camps on need basis
in and around its operational areas to address the problems of the local
inhabitants. UNI
