Jammu,
Aug 30: Pakistan today yet again violated the ceasefire agreement and
fired unprovoked in Nowshera sector on the Line of Control in Rajouri district
of Jammu and Kashmir. "Pakistan at around 1100 hrs fired unprovoked and
targetted forward Indian Posts in Nowshera sector in Rajouri district,"
official sources here said. They said Pakistan fired small arms, mortars and
automatics. "Own troops responded effectively to the firing while
intermittent firing is still on," the sources said, adding that no injury
on own side has been reported so far. Meanwhile, district administration has
ordered closure of nearly six schools close to the LoC in the wake of
cross-border firing as a preventive measure. Earlier on August 2, at least five
civilians were injured as Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing and targeted
forward Army posts and villages in Rajouri. UNI
