Aug 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the first
election rally in poll bound Tripura in last week of October and BJP has been
working on the target to hold at least two-rallies in two parts of the state
during Mr Modi’s visit. While addressing the booth level meeting of BJP, the
party president Biplab Kumar Deb indicated that the party has been preparing
for election and to hold mammoth rallies during Prime Minister’s Tripura visit.
He said besides, strengthening organisation at grass root level BJP has been
ready to go for election at any point of time and now micro level campaign of
the party has been going on to reach out individual voters. “The booth level
leaders were given direction to concentrate on their localities and interact
with each of the voters besides, regular political activities. Already central
ministers and leaders are started coming to the state and we are preparing for
Prime Minister’s arrival,” Mr Deb stated. He further pointed out that BJP
leaders and workers have been campaigning at village level on the welfare
schemes of the Central government and against the failure of the Left Front
government in Tripura. “In many a cases it appeared that CPI-M convinced the
common people that central projects which have been introduced by the Modi
government are the state projects. We are trying to tell the truth to the
commoners,” Mr Deb stated. He maintained that Union minister of state for
Parliamentary Affairs, Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare S S Aluwalia is
scheduled to visit Tripura tomorrow to inaugurate Exhibition and Cultural
Program at Agartala. IRCON International Limited, Ministry of Railways in
association with Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs are organising exhibition
and cultural programme for five days at Agartala Town Hall. UNI
