Srinagar, Sep 7: Body of a woman, who allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Jhelum in downtown Srinagar yesterday, was today fished out from the river in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal.
      Official sources said panic gripped Wakura in Ganderbal when some locals saw body of a woman floating in the river. The locals immediately informed the police, they said, adding a team was rushed to the spot and the body was fished out.
      The deceased was later identified as Rubeena Akhtar, who had allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Jhelum from Nawakadal bridge yesterday.
      It is being reported that the woman committed suicide following alleged domestic violence by her in-laws. “Police have registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they said.
