MECCA (SAUDI ARABIA), SEPTEMBER 01: Minister
for Hajj & Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi has extended greetings to the
people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In his
message from Mecca where he is performing Hajj, Andrabi said the spirit of
sacrifice is the essence of this great occasion. It is an occasion to remind us
of the path of selfless sacrifice and forgiveness followed by Hazrat Ibrahim
(AS) and to emulate the same, he said.
We must
reaffirm our faith in the unity of humanity and to be charitable towards the
disadvantaged and the needy, he added.
The
Minister further said that the people must observe Eid by spreading the message
of peace, harmony and brotherhood across J&K.
Andrabi
prayed for peace, prosperity and development of the state.
