“There is something disconcerting about the CM claiming this just days after her minister survived an attack that killed 3 people,” Mr Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mr Abdullah was reacting to Ms Mehbooba’s comment that the situation was peaceful in the valley and it was the national media that was creating a negative perception about Kashmir.
A grenade was hurled by militants at the cavalcade of Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar on September 21 at Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama. Even though the minister escaped unhurt, two civilians were killed and 30 others, included seven CRPF men and two policemen, were injured in the grenade attack. UNI
