Around 15 delegations to meet group led by former PM Manmohan Singh on Sep 10

Jammu, Sep 8: As many as 15 delegations representing different sections of the society will meet former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh headed group arriving here on two-day visit from Sep 10. The high powered Congress Policy Planning Group headed by former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will visit Jammu on Sep 10 and 11. "Dr Singh will arrive here on Sep 10 afternoon and meet various delegations," G A Mir, president J&K Pradesh Congress Committee here told UNI. Mr Mir said that nearly 15 delegations representing diffetent bodies and organisation will meet the former Prime Minister and brief him about the current situation of the state besides the concerning issues. The delegations including Jammu Bar Association, Chamber Association, Kashmiri migrants, Refugees, Doda Migrants, minority assoociations, SC,ST Organistation, Pahari Speaking Organisation, Gujjars Body, journalists and others will meet Dr Singh, said Mr Mir. He further added that Dr Singh will also hold meetings with party leaders. "The VVIP will be apprised of prevailing political and security situation besides J&K related issues and the progress on the projects initiated during Dr Singh led regime in the Centre," said the Congress chief. He said that the situation post PDP-BJP Govt in Jammu and Kashmir and BJP led government in the Centre will also be discussed. JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that all arrangements have been put in place for the visit of Dr Singh. "He will interact with delegations at Convention Centre till late evening on Sep 10 and next day he will dash to the national capital," said Mr Sharma. He said that during the visit of the high powered Congress Policy Planning Group organizational affairs including the current exercise of election and re-constitution of the organizational units and structure at all levels will also be discussed.
