Bengal Tourism Dept to conducts tour packages on the occasion of Durga Puja

Kolkata, Sep 7: Like previous years, this year too, the Bengal Tourism Department has brought out a set of packages for Durga Puja. The packages would be conducted by department’s agency, West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited (WBTDCL). The packages consist of bus tours to see the beautiful pandals that come up across Bengal during this time of the year. They are divided into three broad groups – trips to pandals in Kolkata, outside Kolkata and to north Bengal. There are also cruise packages – one general and another to see the immersion at Babughat, a tourism official today said. The tours inside Kolkata would begin on Mahalaya and then go on to the days of Durga Puja and a few days before and after. There would be a total of 15 packages – four inside Kolkata, six on the outskirts of Kolkata, three in north Bengal and two cruise packages.
