Sept 20: Eight senior skaters from Jammu and Kashmir represented Indian
team in the World Roller Games 2017 held at Nanjing, China.
The closing ceremony of World Games was held on September 10.
The selected skaters represented Indian Inline Hockey team.
Prior to their selection, the skaters underwent four-month training at Nodia and Chandigarh wherein nearly 300 skaters from all over the country participated for different events.
President J&K Amateur Roller Skating Association G S Khurmi said that William Prandini from Italy, an expert in Roller and Inline Hockey, trained the Indian team probable for 80 days at different venues.
Selected skaters from the state, who represented Indian Team included Arjun Gandotra, Tarun Gandotra, Joshpal Singh, Jasmeet Singh, Sahil Gupta, Dixit Gupta, Ajit Singh and Abhinav Gupta. UNI
