Kolkata, Sep 25: At least twentyone people sustained burn injuries, six of them fire brigade personnel, when a major fire broke out at a cracker factory at Amdanga in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas in the wee hours today, police and fire brigade sources said. The cracker making factory located at Bhaluka village was raged to the ground after explosive materials caught fire around 0230 hours damaging residential places in the vicinity in which altogether 21 people sustained burn wounds. Of them six were fire brigade personnel. One of them was critical and admitted to a hospital. About eight fire fighting vehicles were pressed to combat the leaping flames emanating plumes of black smoke when the report came in. A fire fighting engine was also damaged in the inferno. UNI
