ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 25: District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, Monday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of works taken up under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) scheme in the district.
The DDC was informed that 27 out of 52 buildings taken up for upgradation have been completed and that work on 10 buildings shall be completed by the end of December 2017.
The concerned SE R&B informed the meeting that construction work on most of the buildings taken up under RMSA is in the final stage, adding that work on high school buildings at Chaklipora and Leeso have been completed and will be handed over by the end of this month.
The DDC directed the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to finalize verification of the buildings at the ZEO level and consolidate the details of the buildings completed so far.
During the meeting, it was also given out that 15 schools have been strengthened in the district, whereas work on the remaining 11 schools is going on.
The DDC directed the SE R&B and CEO to coordinate with each other to ensure completion of works at the earliest. He also directed for catapulting issues which require his intervention.

The meeting was attended by CPO, SE R&B, Executive Engineers, Qazigund, Vailoo and Khannabal and Chief Education Officer.
