KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 20: District
Development Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar, today convened public grievances
redressal cum mega awareness camp at Mandli village of Billawar tehsil to
assess the problems and demands of the people besides making them aware about
various welfare and development schemes envisaging their soci-economic
emancipation.
The DDC was accompanied by ADC Joginder Singh Rai, ACD Rohit Khajuria,
DPO, Tehsildars, BDOs, Executive Engineers besides district officers.
The people apprised the Deputy Commissioner of various problems being
faced by them including scarcity of drinking water, low electricity voltage,
installation of electric poles, establishment of medical facilities,
macadamization of roads, streamlining of functioning of the field staff
etcetera.
The DDC provided on the spot services and certificates which inter alia
included Permanent Resident Certificates, Caste Certificates, RBA certificates,
Mutations attested, Revenue Extracts, Income Certificates, Marriage
Certificates, Character Certificates, Aadhar verification, Legal Heir
certificates and other certificates.
The DC exhorted upon the officers to deliver services related to their
respective departments to the people in a time bound manner.
District officers of various departments were directed to conduct mass
awareness camps to ensure that maximum people get the benefit of government
schemes meant for their betterment. He also directed district officers to
conduct joint grievances redressal camps at far off places.
While speaking to people about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene
in and around the villages, DDC informed that Mandli block is all set to become
the first ODF block of Kathua district and appealed people for their active
participation in this regard.
On the occasion, DDC flagged off Swachatta rally of students from Govt.
Hr. Sec. School, Gujroo Nagrota. Besides, similar rally by anganwari workers
and students was flagged off from Mandli.
Later, the DC paid visit at Shri Sukrala Mata Temple shrine to review
the arrangements being put in place for Navratra festival commencing tomorrow.
