Kavinder reviews development works

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 02 : Speaker, Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta conducted an extensive tour  of Gandhi Nagar Constituency and had a detailed review of development works being executed in the area.

During the tour, the Speaker inspected the status of ongoing development works in Chatha, Raipur Satwari ,Barjala and adjoining areas and had feedback about the implementation of his directions issued from time to time for taking-up the new works and accelerating the ongoing works.

The Speaker asked the executing agencies to stick to the deadlines in the execution of the projects and ensure the usage of quality material.

The Speaker exhorted upon the officials of various departments to work in synergy for ensuring all basic amenities especially water, electricity and road connectivity to the people. He directed for proper utilization of resources for socio-economic development of the region.

Later, the Speaker convened a public grievances redressal camp at Barjala and listened to the issues put forth by the locals.

 Responding to the projected demands, the Speaker assured the people for timely resolution of their genuine demands and grievances and also directed the concerned officers to take up the issues on priority.

The Speaker emphasized the need of raising massive awareness among th people about the schemes and programmes of the Government especially the welfare schemes for the disabled. He asked the concerned officials to prepare a list of people with physical disabilities and draft a report of the estimation cost of their treatment and surgeries.

The Speaker was accompanied by MLC S.Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, prominent citizens including  Gurmeet Kour besides senior functionaries of various departments.
