UDHAMPUR SEPTEMBER 16: As a part
of the ongoing 'Swachhta Hi Sewa' campaign being observed from September 15
to October 2, District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar today administered
Swachhta pledge to students of various educational institutions.
Speaking at a function organised at Government Higher Secondary School
Boys, the DDC exhorted upon the students to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi's vision of
Clean India. He also asked the students to create awareness about cleanliness
among others and sought their cooperation in making the district Open Defecation Free
A number of competitions like Debates, Essay writing , Painting were
also organised during the 2nd day of the mega campaign along with a
cleanliness drive at Ward No- 2 Udhampur in which District Panchayat Officer Sandeep
Seointra and other district officers participated.
Similar, awareness events were also held in various subdivisions of the
district.
