PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 28: District Developments Commissioner,
Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar today visited various areas of Pulwama district and
inspected Muharram arrangements.
District Development Commissioner stressed on the special arrangements
for Electricity, water supply, health, sanitation, cleanliness and other
essential facilities at Gongoo, Hanji- Khiloo,Wakherwan and other Shia dominated areas.
DDC directed the PHE, PDD, R&B and other concerned departments to
ensure the provision of adequate ration, wood for Imambaras, uninterrupted
power supply, potable drinking water and safe passage of devotees on roads in
Shia populated areas, while performing their religious obligations.
He also directed Health Department to ensure availability of life-saving
drugs and installation of medical camps around Imambaras, besides keeping
ambulances ready in case of any emergency.
During the visit various Shia delegations met DDC Pulwama and put
forward their issues which were addressed on spot. The DDC was accompanied by a team of officers comprising ACR, Tehsildar Pulwama and Awantipora,
Exn PHE,Exn R&B, AD Food ,CMO and other District Officers of various
departments.
