DGP congratulates outgoing trainees
UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 28: An impressive
passing out parade of 140 lady constables was held here today at Sher-i-Kashmir
Police Academy (SKPA).
Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid was the Chief Guest on the
occasion.
While congratulating the pass outs, the DGP said that addition of the
fresh batch of lady constables would definitely help in strengthening the
existing police stations and women cells.
Informing that 36 pass outs of the batch are graduates and above, the
DGP hoped that their presence will go a long way in improving the efficiency of
Women Police Stations.
The DGP also threw light on various welfare measures taken by the
department for the police personnel.
Earlier, in his welcome address Director SKPA, M. Sulaiman Salaria
briefed about the training imparted to the lady constables. He thanked PHQ
J&K for extending full cooperation to SKPA in conducting basic and Pre
Promotional Courses for J&K Police personnel as well as specialized courses
under various themes for J&K Police, JKAS and Forest Protection Force.
Lady Constable Ishrat Ahad was promoted out of turn for securing all
round best position during the training. She was also felicitated with DGP's
Class-Ist Commendation Certificate and a cash award of Rs7500.
Lady Constable Anu Radha, adjudged as 2nd all round best, and first in
outdoor was also felicitated with Commendation Certificates and cash award.
