JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 08:
Representatives of Industries Association Samba today called on Minister for
Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga and apprised him about the
problems and issues related to Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the problems put forth by the
industrialists. He sought their feedback for hassle-free implementation of the
new tax regime in the State. He added that all their genuine demands shall be
looked into and suitable action shall be taken to address these in a time bound
manner.
Ganga said that the government is committed to extend all possible
support to the industrialists for smooth transition to Goods and Services Tax
(GST) regime so that they don’t face any difficulty in running their businesses
Minister further said that every possible step would be taken to
safeguard the interests of the industrialists under GST and appropriate action
would be taken on their feedback.
The government is continuously working to provide a favorable
environment to promote industrial growth in the State and full assistance would
be provided to the industrialists, the Minister said.
The delegation members included President Industries Association
Samba Vijay Aggarwal, General Secretary Ritesh Mahajan and
Vice President Raman Jolly.
